Tilda Plum Garden Designer Showcase!

Recently I was invited to participate in the Tilda Plum Garden Showcase

along with lots of talented designers sponsored by 2 Green Zebras.

This very pretty range was released on the July 1st and is now

readily available from many stores.

Its so hard to choose which one I liked the most as they are all so gorgeous

and as I used each one it became the new favourite.

The coordinates Berry Jam and the Tea Towel Basics are perfect

match not only for your Plum Garden project but for your other Tilda projects.

Keep watching for my project reveals in the coming days here and at @franceslillydesigns.

Road Trip to K & K Warehouse Sale!

Recently we took a road trip to attend Kennard & Kennard

Warehouse sale. I also met one of the very talented designers

of their Australiana fabrics Amanda Brandl it was wonderful to talk about her

current ranges and I look forward to seeing the new ones.

For some time I have  been working on some new quilt designs

for Kennard & Kennard

using their latest Australiana fabric ranges.

These fabrics are gorgeous and I can’t wait

to start making them up. I’ve also seen some of the new ranges coming

and have many new designs on the drawing board.

Contact Kennard & Kennard if you wish to purchase

any of the patterns below.

You can also view them on my pattern page.

Time for sewing!

Playing with a box of leftovers from previous quilts.

From leftovers to this stack of four patch blocks.

Still loving these colours.

Some early morning pics of these gorgeous beauties in my garden before the heat gets to them.

AQM 2018!

Another exciting weekend, attending the

Australia Quilt Market. Preparation takes months of planning and for me

is a combination of new projects as well as my years work.

Setting up can take hours and I always forget to take photos of the whole process.

Some of my newest designs that have now been added to my pattern page are

Bushland Chorus (table runner)

Windchimes Tote

These gorgeous Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily as they are more commonly known as,

just continually flower year after year without much help and always make a stunning display.

Windchimes (quilt)

A big thank you to all of  my customers for attending.

My new stockists have been added to the list.

Free Motion Quilting!

Spent much of yesterday afternoon attempting some

free motion quilting on these blocks.

Not great, but any practice helps to improve skills.

Only tackling small projects at the moment, not ready to tackle a large quilt.

Classes & Trunk Shows

So excited to have spent some time

teaching and having trunk shows

in country New South Wales recently.

Shown are a few highlights, as always should have taken more photos.

Always a favourite, my ‘Illusions’ quilt.

Another favourite, my ‘Heyfield Station Tote’

with the ever popular 3dimensional flowers.

A big thank you to everyone who made us so welcome.

On our way home, we stopped to catch up with family and friends.

This was the view from the road of Mt Buller, glistening in the glorious spring sunshine.

And below from a different road, with Mt Buller on the right

and Mt Stirling on the left.

New Quilt Sample!

A wintery version of Belle Rouge,

back from the quilters and binding completed.

I headed out to photograph it on a cold and blowy winters day.

Although you can’t tell from the photos the wind was blowing a gale.

So close to Spring the wattle blossoms are flowering!
