Roses!

Last week-end was spent in Terang, tutoring a two day workshop,

with my ‘Roses to Di for’ quilt.

The ten ladies had travelled far and wide to attend,

acquiring new skills and techniques as well as spending time with friends

and make many new ones.

We were lucky to have two rooms to use in the hall

the first was sent up for hand sewing,

while the second was set up for the sewing machines,

with everything from an Elna purchased in the sixties (sorry no photo)

to the latest Phaff. (Also no photo)

Bundles of rosebuds and baskets emerged,

While later on whole roses were produced.

After lunch on Sunday, a trunk show or in my case a

suitcase, many bags and tubs of patterns and templates,

which arrived home much lighter and emptier.

And in keeping with the rose theme our hosts for the weekend

have many beautiful roses in their garden which were still in flower.
