Needle-turn applique

Thought I would trial a different applique method,

the Thursday girls have been talking about.

Stitch your applique pieces on to the background, 

using a running stitch and perle 8 thread. Slowly unpick the

perle thread as you needle-turn your applique shape.

Some of the girls love this method,

but it  isn’t for me. We all need to find the method that best suits us.

I ended up unpicking it all and going back to the

 freezer paper on top method.
