New Project!

Before contemplating which unfinished project to tackle next,

I took a peek into one of the boxes containing the new projects

unpackaged and on the cutting board.

Just love this print and the many colours it comes in.

Before long a stack of half square triangles appeared.

Just love this new French General range, Le Bouquet Francais.

Another project completed!

With the two projects from the large tubs on the right in

the photo below completed and at the quilters,

the one above them is the next in line to finish.

When I first opened the tub,  I thought the quilt top

was almost completed.

Penghana a

But no, it was mostly pinned together,

completion would take longer than first anticipated.

These are all the pins that were holding the blocks together.

No wonder I was running out of pins for other projects.

All of the half square triangles for the border were made and

sorted for the four borders at the bottom of the tub.

Penghana c

They didn’t take long to piece together and attach

to the quilt top along with the unpieced borders.

More photos when it arrives back from the quilters.

Happy Easter!

Happy belated Easter to all.

These cute chocolate bunnies were left at our gate early Sunday morning.

Apparently there is an Easter Bunny, namely our lovely neighbours.

Yes the gift was reciprocated, just not at 4.30 in the morning.

  Happy Easter 2014

After the Nostalgia Exhibition the other week,

it reminded me of the sewing baskets my sister and I received

one Christmas as a young girls. My sisters was blue and mime was yellow.

Nostalgia a

Now a little worse for wear,

it’s not for everyday use.

It still contains the tiny bakelite thimble that now just fits my little finger.
