Some Christmas Travelling!

Some travelling around in the last few days,

has seen us visiting family around the north and the east in the state of Victoria.

Out walking at dusk on Christmas Day, Mt Buller looked stunning in the background.

As did Highton Manor, with the sun shining on it.

Back on the coast at a favourite spot.

Calm (above) before the storm. (below)

Called into Lily Lane at Rosedale who happened to be having a sale

and picked up some great fabrics for backings. Can’t wait to start on some new designs.

More Class Up-date!

Another recent class, Twilight Clematis at Lily Lane.

These lovely ladies were busy making 3D flowers.

Thanks for the fun day.

Also got to spend some time at the Ninety Mile Beach.

A favourite spot of ours and incredibly we had the beach

to ourselves on this beautiful spring day.

All the spring flowers were in full bloom,

including this gorgeous pink blossom.

Class Catch- up!

The gorgeous ladies in my Baltimore Album class at

The Sewing Bee Cafe have been busy

completing their blocks before the next class.

Looking forward to seeing all of their blocks come

together in the next couple of months.

As have the ladies in my Primrose Manor class,

also at The Sewing Bee Cafe. I love that there is such

diversity of fabrics in both classes.

Playing Catch-up!

Lately I’ve been a slack posting on my blog.

Thinking that I had posted on Instagram as well as my blog,

but actually only posting on Instagram.

Over the next few days (or weeks) I will

endeavour to catch up with all that’s been happening.

I’m thrilled and delighted to receive first prize for my Primrose Manor,

at Victorian Quilters Showcase at the Melbourne Quilt and Craft Fair.

Some closeups of the 3d flowers, gorgeous fabrics and quilting.

Congratulations to all who entered theirs quilts into Showcase.

You are all winners!

Lakes Entrance Weekend Retreat!

Spending some time with these lovely ladies from all over

Victoria on retreat at the beautiful Lakes Entrance,

organised by Lily Lane.

Who doesn’t love a weekend of stitching, sewing,

catching up with like minded friends and making new ones.

(Sorry for the blury pics)

Show and tell after lunch, these star blocks produced from the morning and

with Jen displaying blocks for her version of Illusions.

Another show and tell this week is from Lynne,

who emailed this pic (top) of her version

of my Morning Glory design.

Love those bright colours, thanks for sharing Lynne.

Stitching Day/Sewing Bee Cafe!

On a cold winters day we set up

for the stitching day with The Sewing Bee Cafe.

Project for the day was my Clementine bag available in 2 colourways.

No time for me to take pics during the day,

these next pics are courtesy of The Sewing Bee Cafe.

All of these lovely ladies busy with

English Paper Piecing and making 3D flowers.

A very generous gift of this bundle of fabrics,

matches perfectly with others from my stash.

Thank you to every one who attended and

Debbie & Sonia for making this a fun memorable day.
