Hi, I’m Julie. I live in Victoria, Australia with my wonderfully supportive husband and computer nerd oops genius son. Ever since I can remember I’ve always had a love of fabrics and design. My Mother tells a story of before I started school, I would cut up scraps of fabric would ask her to sew and before she could work out what I was doing, a dolls dress was created. At Secondary School I lived for the days with needlecraft as well as pattern designing and drafting. It was then that I had my first taste of patchwork. After leaving school I worked in all aspects of the fashion industry. In 1997 I joined a patchwork group at a local Community Centre where I met many like minded ladies and continued to go to many years. The year 2000 saw many changes, being asked to design a quilt, to teach and write patterns at a local patchwork shop was just the start. My first love is needleturn applique, but my fabric choices are starting to vary from repros to modern depending on what is in the stores at the time.
