Spectacular Sunrise!

With our busy lives and schedules,

its great to be able to take a weekend off and

visit a favourite part of Victoria and remind us

what a beautiful part of the world we live in.

So peaceful and quiet, the sound of the waves crashing on the beach the only noise.

New Pattern Release!

One of reasons for travelling to

The patchwork Tea House (not that we need an excuse)

on Wednesday was to catch up with Marilyn and drop off a new quilt,

Amarante

Amarante along with a supply of patterns as well as restocking

of my other two patterns Jardin de Fleur and Juniper Bleu

both using French General fabrics from previous ranges.

Marilyn plans to take Amarante along with the patterns and

fabric packs to have on her stall at the

Waverley Patchworkers Quilt Show on

Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June.

A day out!

With the great autumn weather we’ve been having,

yesterday was the perfect day for a girlfriend and I to head to Warburton

and The Patchwork Tea House.

This is not only a wonderful patchwork store

but a lovely spot for coffee and maybe lunch.

Every time there is always something new to look at.

This collection of salt and pepper shakers remind me

of my grandmothers collection. I wonder what ever happened to them.

Road Trip!

My latest quilts, all back from my quilter

trimmed and bound. Just need to finish writing the patterns

and take some photos for the front covers.

Finished Quilts May 2014

Some stores have ordered patterns, some have booked classes.

And they will be ready for next term.

They will be travelling with me just in case I find the right spot for photos.

KooWeRup 1

First stop was in KooWee Rup to visit Craft Quarters

where the shop has been completed on the outside.

Checkout their Facebook page for some befores and afters.

Then headed to San Remo, a small town

just before crossing the bridge to Phillip Island.

Found some great walking tracks down to the beach and along the cliff tops.

Also some fabulous spots for quilt pics, but you’ll have to wait for those.

Local Quilt Shows!

Last weekend there were a couple more quilts shows to attend and support.

The first being at Crib Point, in the old Primary School building

now the Community Centre.

Quilt Show-Crib Point

Sorry no photos allowed inside.

A shame as there was artwork and cake decorating

from classes held there.

Sunday saw us at the 10th annual quilt show at Lang Lang.

I caught up with Maureen from Palm Beach Quilting,

Quilt Show-Lang Lang b

and Estelle from Craft Quarters.

About a hundred quilts on display and permission given

for photos and to  post on my blog.

This one I wouldn’t normally take a photo of,

but it was a favorite of D’s. Made entirely from fabric

with Fords. Never seen this fabric anywhere.

Around the town a number of buildings had murals

on the side walls, started to rain when taking this one.
