Happy New Year

and all the very best for 2013.

Thank-you for visiting, commenting and emailing

over the last twelve months.

More quilts are already in the planning,

classes and workshops are already booked.

Looks like another busy year ahead, just the way I like it.

Bag Workshop!

One of the last classes before finishing for the year, a day workshop,

was the ruler and cutting mat bag with the

Mornington Peninsula Patchworkers.

A huge variety of fabrics were used,

one was even made with some star blocks.

A great day was had by all, with everyone

going home with just the handsewing the binding

left to complete.

A Day at Phillip Island!

Recently a group I belong to, spent the day

with some very talented artists at Phillip Island,

some whom had visited us earlier in the year.

Before lunch we visited local galleries and of course a patchwork shop.

After lunch was show and tell, here are just a few.

A fun day was had by all, as we plan and try to complete

projects when they come to visit us again in 2013.

Recently Quilted!

A couple of my quilts recently quilted by

Laurene at The Quilters’ Patch.

As usual outstanding quilting on both quilts.

Colonial Charm has been available as a pattern

for a while, quilt tops always take on a new life once quilted.

Morning Jewel has mostly feathers quilted over it,

except on the outer edge of the border. Just stunning.

Now to finish those bindings.

New Additions!

Over the last few weeks there has been some additions

at our house. First these Plovers or as they are correctly called

Masked Lapwings had this cute baby.

So small but very fast on its feet.

Then mother Magpie brought her baby to visit us.

Unsteady on his feet for a few days, but was soon

learning to fly in the safety of our backyard.
