Cutting mat & ruler bag!

Some time ago I decided I needed to make a bag to carry my

cutting mat and rulers. After some planning, this is the result.

It has carry handles, ties at the side to hold it shut and

when opened up this side holds a cutting mat,

sheets of template plastic and larger rulers.

While the other side holds the 6 1/2″ wide rulers,

bolts of fabrics  a note book and other sewing supplies.

A visit to Quilters Harvest!

On the way home from South Australia,

one of the places we stopped at was the country town of

Warracknabeal.

Had never been here before and there was some  stunning  historic buildings.

Tudor-style Post Office built in 1907

A visit to Quilters Harvest the local patchwork shop was a real treat.

Meeting some of the local patchworkers who were there for a day of stitching.

They stock beautiful patchwork fabrics, scrap-booking supplies,

lovely giftware and of course classes.

A hard decision to choose but I did come home with these.

“Quilt Encounter” Part 3!!!

Another two day workshop I took was Chevrons with

National Award winner Pam Furniss.

A quilt and applique as-you-stitch.

Again totally something left field for me.

Mine is the autumn tone second from the left.

Everyone had chosen totally different colours and

was great to see all the different variations.

Another of Pam’s quilts.

Despite suffering the effects of the flu, Pam was also a very imformative tutor.

Morning and afternoon tea was spent out in this lovely courtyard,

with different quilts hanging every day.

The last night was party night being the

20th anniversary of “Quilt Encounter”.

A special thankyou to Kath, Karen and Susanne,

for making me so welcome.
