PHDs

Projects have done.

This morning while cleaning out my sewing room,

I  came across a number of projects half done. (PHDs)

Including these pieced hexagons

and more pieced hexagons.

Also this little cutie

Each half square triangle is 1 1/4″ square.

Most of the half square triangles are completed,

it just needs putting together.

An afternoon of sewing should do it.

Kaffe Fassett

On Saturday a few friends and I were very lucky to see a

lecture and slide show with Kaffe Fassett.

Along with a few hundred others.

A  very inspiring speaker.

We were allowed to take photos, without any flash.

Which of course I took many,

here is just a few.

The Mornington Peninsula Patchworkers Inc. was held today.

This lovely group of patchworkers meet on the second Tuesday of the month.

It is great to see this group of ladies with the same interests

from all different walks of life get together

and talk about all things patchwork amongst other things.

Custom Quilting

Another custom quilted quilt arrived today.

Laurene Horsnell has done some fantastic quilting on both  quilts for me.

Just a sneak peak at both of them for now, until they are completely finished.

Primitive Patches Class

On my way to pick up a quilt that was being custom quilted,

I dropped off two quilts at Primitive Patches.

Courthouse Square is a pattern and Morning Glory is for a class,

beginning in March and it is also available as a pattern.

Courthouse Square

Morning Glory

Courthouse Square was made with an older Moda fabric range, Rhubarb and Ginger.

Morning Glory was made with the Moda range Botany

which has lovely bright colours and morning glory flowers throughout the range.

To see the full quilts you will have to visit Primitive Patches.

I have yet to put the binding and three dimensional flowers onto the newly quilted quilt,

which looks absolutely gorgeous by the way.

I will post some pictures on a later blog.
